Role Summary/Purpose:
The Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for various aspects of Sales, Commercial Operations, Pricing, & Marketing coupled with intensive systems, and product training. In addition, you will be required to maintain strong, productive working relationships with account managers, electrical contractors, end users, & channel partners.

As the Inside Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Reviews project specifications
  • Prepare proposal for the customers
  • Oversee and monitor project activities and deliverables for timely completion
  • Schedule adherence & cost control, while ensuring project deliverables meet project requirements, including post-sales support
  • Identifies problem areas or concerns and resolves these issues as needed
  • Gain an extensive knowledge of the power distribution industry
  • Works with the sales and manufacturing teams to execute projects within technical, cost and schedule requirements
  • Commits to project schedules and budgets and provides status documentation on projects
  • Reviews project activities and identifies potential change order or scope modifications as necessary
  • Develops and modifies project budget activities for new and existing projects
  • Product order entry and follow up
  • Commission tracking and reconciling
  • CRM data management including spreadsheets and internal software use
  • Interface with customers on technical and contractual details during the proposal stage
  • Routinely interfaces with sales engineers, distributor sales personnel, electrical contractors, and end users
  • Gain an extensive knowledge of all product lines within the GLEP portfolio.
  • Create and implement marketing programs
  • Manage distributor pricing programs

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong, productive working relationships with electrical contractors, end users, channel partners (distributors, VAR’s, OEM’s), and influencers including engineers and consultants.

As the Sales Engineer, you will:

• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned Distributors and commercial contractor customers, at all levels of their organizations
• Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin; motivate customers to prefer GLEP’s portfolio over the competition
• Ownership of the distributor accounts; responsible for maintaining relationships at all levels of organization; developing and monitoring growth plans; marketing programs; training
• Plan and Implement sales strategies to grow Distributor stock and small project business
• Identify and track upcoming sales opportunities and influence customer specifications
• Conduct technical presentations to create preference
• Provide training, joint sales calls and applications support
• Understand Trade Area and identify distribution targets for conversion
• Introduce new products to existing customer base and identify target customers
• Meet or exceed assigned volume and margin measurements
• Perform take-off's and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specs and negotiate and secure project orders
• Understand market pricing and keep distributors competitive and utilize to successfully close Project construction jobs
• Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
• Create customer marketing programs (New Productive Introduction (NPI) launch, training) to promote GLEP products and services
• Mine construction data (Dodge, bid board) to identify key trends in marketplace and new product needs
• Participate in industry and local construction organizations to build relationships

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience

Eligibility Requirement:
• Ability and willingness to drive automobile to call on customers
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
